Your Dethronement is both sad and good; OBJ to Emir Sanusi
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described the dethronement of Emir Sanusi of Kano as sad because because it was undeserved and good because he paid he price.
Emir Sanusi was dethroned on Monday 9th of March 2020 by the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje-led government for being disrespectful to lawful authorities. Subsequently, one of the sons of late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, Aminu Ado Bayero was immediately named as the 15th Fulani Emir of the state.
The statement personally signed by OBJ and shared on Senator Dino Melaye's twitter reads:
“I woke up this morning and after my morning exercise and meeting with my staff, I heard the sad and good news of your removal by the Executive Counicl of the Kano State Government.
Emir Sanusi was dethroned on Monday 9th of March 2020 by the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje-led government for being disrespectful to lawful authorities. Subsequently, one of the sons of late Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero, Aminu Ado Bayero was immediately named as the 15th Fulani Emir of the state.
